Sesuai surat erdaran Gubernur Bali Nomor 15036 Tahun 2020 tujuan utama diselenggarakannnya program Pasar Gotong Royong adalah untuk membantu mempercepat pemulihan perekonomian rakyat Bali sekaligus mengimplementasikan Pergub 99 Tahun 2018 karena Pasar Gotong Royong memfasilitasi pemasaran produk pertanian, perikanan, dan industry lokal masyarakat Bali.
